CAPF 5 Procedures Print E-mail

The current roster of NH Wing qualified check pilots are available by clicking on the link to "Special Pilot Appointments" on Ops Page.

The requirements for being cleared to fly CAP aircraft are referenced in CAPR 60-1 and tracked in eServices. One way to track what the requirements are is to log into eServices and click on "My Operations Qualifications/National Reports" >> Pilot >> "What do I need?" link and Select Achievement: VFR Pilot (or CAP Instrument Pilot if applicable) and note the various Achievement/Task Names and associated "No. of Required Tasks" for each Achievement. Provide copies of required documentation for each completed task to the Wing DO and he/she will enter and validate the tasks in eServices. Copies of required documentation can be sent by mail, scan/email or fax. Contact information for the Wing DO is available on our web site > Wing Information > Wing Staff > Staff Directory.

Once all the required tasks have been completed (green check marked), you will have have the associated Achievement. This will be reflected in the Flight Release Officer (FRO) Support Report each FRO references to release you for flight. Copies of the report are available on eServices under CAP Utilities > My Operations Qualifications/National Reports > National Reports > FRO Support Report (NER-NH-001) > View Report

Note one of the requirements prior to taking your Annual CAPF 5 check ride is completion of the on-line GoCivilAirPatrol web site >> Members >> Emergency Services >> Stan/Eval/Flight Ops >> (Training) Exams >> Online Quiz System >> (Select) CAPR 60-1 CAPF 5 Annual Exam ... When you complete this exam and pass, this will be recorded on-line in eServices. You must complete this exam within 60 days prior to your CAPF 5 check ride (not afterwards). Your check pilot will require proof you have completed this test successfully as part of your checkride.

Note the procedures for the checkride are included with the paperwork you can download from the on-line GoCivilAirPatrol web site >> Members >> Forms and Publications >> Forms >> **F5 (along with Airplane or Glider Questionnaire (as applicable). Note the Form 5 procedures and paperwork changed May 2010.
