G1000 Course for Observers and Mission Pilots not qualified in G1000 aircraft

NH Wing Observers and Mission Pilots

This Course was held at Wing Headquarters August 29th using methods developed by Skip Guild and Kevin Madore. Major portions of the course will be repeated at the Wing Conference 12 September during the afternoon seminars. The material taught at the course is available for downloading via links below.

The purpose of this course is to train observers and mission pilots that are not qualified on G1000 aircraft.  I will upload your computer with the Version 8.20 G1000 Trainer if your computer meets the requirements of the attachment.  Your computer will need three D graphics.  Bring your computer, or a memory stick.  If you do not a sufficient computer, the course will still be worth while.  The purpose of providing the software is to give you a means of practicing at home. Again, this course is not intended for those who know how to load user waypoints and build flight plans for the G1000.

When you complete this course, you will be able to load user waypoint based on radial and distance off a fix and using latitude and longitude.  You will be able to build flight plans for creeping line and parallel grid searches.

I will be providing you with a 67 page handout.  For those who would have like to attend and can not, I have attached links to the handout (and other documents) below. Note the file sizes before download as some may not be appropriate for limited Internet connections.
